My Teaching Style
In my life outside of guitar, I have worked in people-focussed industries for many years. I have also studied (and currently work in) psychology. If there is one lesson I’ve learnt from all of this, it is that we are all incredibly different people with different needs. I approach teaching guitar with an appreciation for this, and try to be as flexible with lesson plans as possible, as everyone’s musical education is different. From personal experience, I understand that learning an instrument is a difficult thing to do, and so I conduct my lessons with warmth and patience. The most important part of music lessons is that they are enjoyed. So that my students look forward picking up their guitar, I try to tailor lesson content to each student’s goals, interests, and day-to-day energy/focus levels.

Where do I teach?
I conduct the majority of my lessons in Enmore, one of the hustle-iest and bustle-iest bits of Sydney’s Inner West. It’s very easy to get here by catching the bus, or jumping on a train to Newtown Station and walking. There will always be something happening around us, people chattering, the clunking of pots and pans in nearby restaurants or a band playing at the Enmore Theatre just up the road, but my teaching room is tucked away in a quiet, cozy music room so that we can focus on the music in front of us.
I am also able to drive to you, but please email me to confirm your location and my teaching timetable align!
Who do I teach?
Anyone that would like to learn guitar! My doors are open to and accepting of everyone. I work primarily with beginner or intermediate guitarists, that still have a little to learn. I also welcome more advanced guitarists, but it would be worth emailing me to make sure our music styles align and I’m the best fit for you.

When do I teach?
The hours I teach are intended to accommodate school, university and work.
Monday: 3pm-7pm, Tuesday: 7am-9am, Wednesday: 7am-9am, Thursday: 7am-9am, Friday: 3pm-7pm, Sat: 9am-1pm

Lesson Fees
I run lessons for each of my students weekly.
30 minute lesson ($40) : These lessons are designed for my younger students, so that we can learn bit-by-bit and focus for the whole time we are together. This length also works for those who are short of time throughout the week.
1 hour lesson ($75): These lessons are a little longer, for those who are happy to sit and play for a while. These lessons generally work best for students that are a little older, or for those who have more time throughout the week.
If you’d like something a bit different (i.e., not weekly or a different duration), send me an email and I will do my best to make this work!
