Lily's Guitar Room

Lily is a skilled musician and an exceptional teacher. For over two years, she’s been teaching my 10-year-old son.

During this time, I’ve consistently been impressed by her remarkable combination of intuition, empathy, patience, intelligence, and genuine positivity. These qualities allow her to perfectly customise her teaching methods and techniques to connect with my son in ways that engage and inspire him.

“Lily is one of our guitar tutors at the Lane Cove Music Education Co-op. We run an extensive music program at Lane Cove Public school including four guitar ensembles and more than forty private guitar students.

Lily is a very competent guitarist and musician but it is her relaxed and gentle nature and her sense of fun and wonder that really inspires our students. She has a natural ability to put students at their ease and help them learn while giving them a real love of music.

We believe that music should be fun and enjoyable but we also believe that it becomes fun and enjoyable as children become competent. Lily is able to teach children music literacy and good technique. This in itself increases their self esteem. But it is her love for music, her love for life and her wonderful sensitivity and compassion for others that really defines her as a music educator.”
